Meet Adam Strugnell

Adam’s experience has made him a pivotal figure in guiding organisations through the intricacies of Workday Recruitment.

This early adoption and continuous exploration of Workday has positioned Adam as a trusted expert in the field.

Adam is the Recruiting Domain Lead and Product Lead at Preos. Since 2021, he has been the driving force behind optimising Workday recruitment solutions for our clients and offering the kind of insights you expect from someone who’s been there from the start. 

His workdays are varied from advising on best practices in Workday implementation to keeping clients informed about significant updates in recruitment functionality and being part of the Workday Enhancement Services Team.  

Adam’s track record of success includes the Avis project, where he played a pivotal role in a rapid Workday deployment. Despite challenges, Adam and his team delivered exceptional results, earning praise from clients and solidifying Preos as a trusted partner in recruitment solutions. 

What does Adam say about mastering Workday?  

When asked about the secret to successful Workday implementations, Adam offers two pieces of advice: 

  1. Keep it simple – Adam advocates for a streamlined approach that allows for flexibility and scalability, helping clients avoid the pitfalls of overcomplication and ensuring their Workday systems are robust yet adaptable. 
  2. Unify processes – For our global clients, Adam champions the ethos of “One global process,” making exceptions only when legally required. “This approach streamlines operations and significantly reduces maintenance headaches, ensuring a smooth and efficient system across borders.”

Beyond the Office 

When he isn’t optimising Workday recruitment? Adam is a barbecue aficionado, an avid Arsenal supporter, and a family man.

Meet Deniz Gemici

Deniz, our Workday Advanced Compensation, Talent & Performance and Learning Lead, brings an impressive 12 years of experience in the Workday ecosystem to Preos. She’s also a Workday Partner Product Lead, helping to keep Preos ahead of the curve. 

“I am a Partner Product Lead (PPL) for Workday. It means that we have regular meetings with Workday where we have the advantage of hearing about roadmap and enhancements before others. It’s great that our opinion matters to Workday. They take our feedback into account.”

Deniz’s passion for her work shines through. With years of experience leading projects, she says “each project has its unique challenges and rewards. I do love what I do.” 

Multilingual Expertise

During her time working in the Netherlands, Deniz earned the nickname ‘Sponge’ from her colleagues due to her ability to speak many languages and her thirst for knowledge. Deniz can speak Turkish, English, Dutch and French.

But her professional skills are just as impressive as her linguistic ones. Deniz brings a well-rounded and holistic understanding of many areas within Workday. She emphasises the importance of continuous learning and growth in this rapidly evolving field. 

Deniz’s career has spanned across the globe, and as an avid travel lover, she couldn’t be happier. In addition to her work, she also serves as the travel planner for her family and friends. “They love it if I am travelling with them because I kind of figure everything out!”

Mentorship and Coaching

As an advocate for teamwork and continuous learning, Deniz plays a crucial role in mentoring others. Whether it’s through the Preos graduate program, supporting Turkish university students, or her work as a STEM ambassador, she is dedicated to guiding and inspiring others. “I love teaching and being around the younger generation – it’s energising!” 

Deniz’s teaching extends to our clients, coaching and upskilling when necessary. She emphasises the importance of successful project delivery, meticulous planning, and risk mitigation for clients.

Having a multidisciplinary approach is beneficial. For me, ensuring we deliver a project for our clients successfully is the most important thing.”

Learning and Growth with Every Project

With each project, Deniz embraces the opportunity to learn and grow. “Every project is different; every day is a learning day. She wholeheartedly recommends a career with Workday, which has not only allowed her to make valuable connections but has also allowed her to turn work relationships into lasting friendships.

“It’s a great sector. I very much like to turn my work relationships into friendships because I enjoy spending time with those people.”
